Good
Apparently D and I have discovered a cultural difference around the word "good" which is "bien/bon" in French, when applied to oneself. D thought I was putting myself down when I said I was good at studies, whereas I thought I was pretty fairly assessing my level since I do have a good level (meaning apparently in the US very good, i.e. I did get 2nd out of a few people on a competitive exam). But maybe it's down to individual idiosyncracy so...
Whaddoyousay?
